I hear some marvelous recordings of you pianists on fb...
...Have any of you considered recording those pieces without tuba players noodling and flubbing around in the background?

I remember when I was doing my undergrad, no accompanist wanted to play the Hindemith. (I never wanted to, either..)

I've found a grand total of two pianists who would perform the Hindemith Sonata with me, one being a Juilliard piano graduate and the other being a former child prodigy who toured in Europe. You gotta know how to pick 'em!

That is pretty much the case with the Frank violin sonata -- the piano part might as well be a concerto for piano.
