Happy Tuba Tuesday. Today, the Museum features a York, E flat tuba, 3 pistons, c.1916.

Serial #: 46660

Bell Diameter 15 1/4″, Bore: .591″, Height: 28 1/4″.

Comments:

“U.S.Q.M.C.” on rim of bell. “Made By / J.W. YORK & SONS / Grand Rapids / Mich. on bell. Ornate floral engraving around identification marks.

Ya kinda have to know what you are looking for to see it, but i think it has the low/high pitch loop!

Other USQMC Eb Yorks from the same time also had the 1910 H/LP loop.
If it’s tourist season, why can’t we shoot them?
