This Tuba Tuesday the Museum features its only instrument by Harry B. Jay....an Eb Helicon 3 piston valve horn, c. 1924.

I had one of those! I was alerted about it I think by Tubatinker. I managed to snap it up for $150 and with his help, managed to set it up with a crook and gooseneck off an old Martin which he happened to have. I later sold it to a friend of mine who plays EEb horns and he still uses it for Tuba Christmas here. He has it polished up nice now.

I want to say i tracked down a BBb sousaphone of this make, but it was enough of a project i haven't evaluated it as is, and haven't gotten to picking it up. (but if i recall, picking it up was part of a grand tuba adventure)
