Post by bisontuba »

This Tuba Tuesday the Museum features a Carl Fischer Eb tuba with 3 piston valves from c. 1900. It has floral engravings on the instrument.

My experience with Reliable (i can double check, but that rings a bell as the engraving) is a helicon light enough to be played under certain weight restrictions while recovering from something. It felt a bit tempermental, but you could get respectable sound out of it.

That was a BBb, so i still wonder how the Eb stacks up.
