FS: 3/4 Rudy Meinl C Tuba

Post by PurdHapley11 »

For sale is my 3/4 Rudy Meinl C. It's a good playing horn that I've used on numerous occasions in the Utah Symphony. Has a really nice sound typical of a Rudy. Comes with a Miraphone gig bag that fits it great. The bell has been damaged before and had to be rolled by one of the previous owners. Otherwise, it's in good condition. I'm selling because I ended up buying another horn that's taking up the majority of my attention.

The horn is currently in Stillwater, OK. Would prefer not to ship, but willing to work with someone.

Asking: 6,500 OBO

I think I used to own this Rudi (?). When did you get it?

Nice horn!

Any chance this could have been one of Pat Landolfi's Rudy's? He had a pair of the 3/4's. I remember the unique 3rd slide pull, unless they all had that. Pure, clear sound with plenty of projection.

I'm not sure. Horn was owned by Matt Gaunt prior to the person I bought it from.

I think 95% of all Rudy 3/4 tubas were previously owned by Matt. :tuba:

Upon closer inspection and looking at old pics, this was not my Rudi, but these are great horns. My Piggy kind of fills this niche, but I'd be interested were it a bit closer to me.
