Hagerty Silversmiths Spray Polish

Post by dp »

Is anyone still using this silver spray polish? The large can, the ones that smell like a dry cleaning plant when you use it. It was a great cleaner and polish and tarnish preventer, but before I try to find a large 14.5oz aerosol can of the stuff and (also) try to use the new can and it's nozzle to recover the couple cans I have that are missing the spray head nozzles (grrr) ... I wanted to ask. If you are not using it anymore, what is your current cleaner polish and or tarnish preventer. I don't even want to look at my big silver horn unless I have a plan for the cleaning in place first. Thanks in advance for some rolling commentary

Hagerty’s in liquid form works well and isn’t as stinky as the aerosol. Goddard’s works, in my perception not quite as good but adequate. I recall getting polish from Lowe’s and Ace hardware, but don’t recall which came from where…..
