It sounds like a secret society meeting. Perhaps we could call it "Mirafonia," as bloke sings the praises of the Model 98, and they both have magical powers of bringing 186s back from the dead!

I would prefer the term Blokephant.

Maybe it is time to host BTEC (Blokeplace Tuba Euphonium Conference). The elephant room will have a Siegfried and a Symphonie

What else is needed?
What could possibly be better?
Everything else would be anticlimactic.

There is an issue:
Feeding 500 tuba players would be a hell of a lot more of a miraculous feat than feeding 5000 normal people who would settle for loaves and fishes.
These gourmands would each be expecting about 5 lbs of barbecue, a huge bowl of beans, probably three bags of Lay's potato chips a piece, plus half a keg of beer per tubist.

We'll need "Mr. Turkey Leg" and "Funnel Cake" booths… maybe a "Tilt-A-Whirl" and one of those mini roller coasters for the midway in your yard. Probably a bouncy house, too.

Lots of work…

Robert, can you source us a complete midway? Investigate whether Joe's zoned for this. We need to be prepared for any legal challenges when the county sues him.

Mr. Big and Tall has offered to be a sponsor, if they can set up a very large booth as well as a fitting room.

Otherwise, vendors would not be charged fees, but anyone who wanted to do a music or lecture recital would be charged substantial fees, because nobody really likes to go to those and most consider them to be nuisances.

As long as it's not in mid-July, I believe I can get Southaven High School to loan 14 or more King B-flat contras for that event.

The marching baritone event would be separate, for the same type of reason that women's sports and men's sports are separate.

Will Tuba God solo with the marching wind symphony so we can hear a world class sound?

The elephant room will only include BBb tubas, sousaphones, and cimassi? cimbassos? The only excerpts permitted will be from movie soundtracks, 60's and 70's pop songs (on cimbasso of course), trad jazz, and polka/German beer hall music. The Ride will get you immediately removed from the conference.

You also need an observation deck for those of us who would like to be there but are afraid of being stepped on by one of the Tall and Wide.

5000+ tubists to feed, I feel the need for a bison safari!

All proper ethics will be followed, I'd prefer a stampede at me to keep the ranges shorter. Single shot rifle of course. I hear Dvorak in the background.....

Speaking of carnival rides and food...

Every time I've ever played music at some sort of fair - and these people show up and set up to sell food - they tell me that the majority of those who come up to the window assume that they are lining up to get my autograph.

If they INSIST on testing a tuba's ability to play in B-major ("Ride" banned) they can (likely, quite inadequately) play the riff from "Sir Duke".

also banned: The "wake y'all's arses up!" C (at the end of the bassoon descending arpeggio) in Tchaik 5 (ref: 1:50 https://www.facebook.com/reel/1784069444969174
