Just entertaining the idea for now... played a really excellent Thor the other night. Been playing on my MRPC for over a year now and it's been excellent. I've had nothing but good comments about its sound and I love the accessibility of the low register. This thing really has a lot of colors to play with. I just find it a lot easier to approach piston horns, and I like the open blow of the Thor in particular.
If you have one and are interested in the idea, I'd like to test it out. I'm located in Phoenix, AZ.

Bump, still very interested in a Thor. Likely going to make a listing on the FS board this weekend with the MRPC.

The best Thor on the planet belongs to someone on this board, but I have no idea whether they would be interested in such a trade.isaactuba wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 12:42 pm Bump, still very interested in a Thor. Likely going to make a listing on the FS board this weekend with the MRPC.

Bump, still interested in trading. Not really interested in selling, I still like the horn (and still need one to play...)
Full disclosure: the horn has some crumpling on the left bow and other dents show signs of being dropped in the past. This happened with the previous owner, but the story is unknown. As far as I can tell, the horn still plays wonderfully. All the slides and valves move without any trouble. Photos have been attached below.
