Short Notice, I Know…

Post by the elephant »

The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the Brownstone Center for the Arts at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS, tonight at 7:00 p.m.

I have no idea how much tickets cost, if anything. (It may be a free community concert.)

Brownstone has what is most likely the best concert hall in the whole state. It is outstanding!

We will start with the Ride, move into Tchaik's Romeo et Juliette Overture, then a lot of pops stuff, ending with the original Superman overture.

If anyone here decides to come, please find me afterward and say hello. I love meeting TF members in person! Bring a mouthpiece and I'll let you toot on the YamaYork, if you washed your filthy tuba player hands, that is, heh, heh, heh… (Kidding. Hand washing is optional.)

21.5 hour drive for me, so I may be a little late.

Let’s call it 22 hours because I may have to stop and get gas once or twice.

I'm sure it was great.

barely/tangentially on-topic: #Mississippi #cats

In Southaven, Mississippi a restaurant-ish place is opening up whereby un-homed (aka STRAY...for those who live in Realville) cats are within, and are available for adoption.

(I pass this place, to/from one of my school clients. In the past I did not pass by here, but - since all the stepped-up law enforcement - I've decided to go the shorter way...through Memphis. odd experience: Now - on the Memphis inner loop freeways - everyone is driving at the speed limit. )
