Dents

Post by CamTuba »

Hi all, I have a question regarding dent removal. I was putting my horn into its case today when my left hand slipped and dropped the bottom of the tuba, creating a dent by the bow. I was wondering whether it was in a place that could be repaired. Here is a link to a photo: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... 6yBIFP6-cS
Also, how do I get rid of the water stains seen in the photo? Using a rag isn't doing much.

For the water stains on the silver horn, try ammonia-free Windex and a soft microfiber cloth.

I had a dent in pretty much the same spot on a previous horn. Definitely removable, but it also shouldn't affect anything if you leave it.

Easy. Just don't take it to a hack.
