Off to the side, was a pile of woodwinds with repair tags hanging off of them from an old guard local music store.
They had all been returned without repair, claiming (according to the band director) that "we don't have parts for those brands".
There was stuff there like Selmer USA, Accent, Vito, Buescher, etc., etc...
Not a single one of them was missing any metal, plastic, or wooden parts.
Fine. We took those as well.
(For another high school in the same state - yet 150 miles away from that one - we just repaired and returned a pair of 1950s Martin baritone saxophones... Could you just imagine if a "rep" from that store had picked those up and taken them in to their repair department?
