So far today I have repaired three sousaphones, a marching baritone, a bass trombone, and a tenor trombone. If I go back out there - after I rest for a little bit - and do two trumpets and a horn, I will be done with another school.

Mrs. bloke isn't done with their woodwinds, but there's another high school that's brass only in the same direction as the other school.

Also: It's not the heat, it's the humidity...
easy formula:
Add the Fahrenheit temperature to the humidity percentage and you get the heat index.
ex: F. temperature of 87° F. + humidity percentage of 83%...
It "feels like" 170° F.
Also - if you hear Lightning, you should go inside, but - once inside - you could possibly encounter the Kingfish....

...and I just ate a economy beef hamburger pre-made patty with a little bit of soy crap mixed in ...with cheese on top and an egg on top of that (no bun).

explanation/excuse:
(I'm trying to teach myself how to write stream-of-consciousness posts so that eventually I can write James Joyce-style novels.)

Important update:
The horn is done. I have no idea how I got through all that hot mess so fast. It was a Conn 8D that sort of resembled one of those spiral spring toys called a "Slinky"... But now it's a horn again.
I managed to sleeve an ancient Conn trumpet's mouthpipe that was 80% torn around without tearing it the last 20%.... And realize it was torn just past the receiver, so I had to heat the receiver and get it off without tearing the last 20% of the mouthpipe. ...so I lucked out on two instruments. I haven't done the very last trumpet.

I'm sure you can't wait until tomorrow to find out all about that. :coffee:
