Anyone ever add one?
Is there an off the shelf part that would fit or would I need to fabricate one?

As amateur as they come...I know just enough to be dangerous.

Re: BBb Miraphone 186 - 3rd slide extension/handle
An extension would be a lengthening of the slide itself—adding pull. The 3rd on the BBb is already very long and can lower the pitch by more than a half step. Are you saying that yours is *that* sharp?
Did you maybe mean lengthening the 4th slide? There are a few fixes for that. The CC uses the BBb 3rd slide for the 4th, so that issue is not present on the CC version.
Or are you talking about a pull handle? That is easy enough to do. You need an old crook of about the same radius, a brace socket to braze to the foot you will make from that old crook, some rod that will fit the socket, and a ring to braze to the rod. Or you can struggle with bending a complex curve into an existing brace foot (base and socket) and use that.
Here's the one I made for my Kurath…

Re: BBb Miraphone 186 - 3rd slide extension/handle
Sorry I meant a pull handle. There is plenty of pull on the 3rd slide.. my son just likes how easy it is to reach the 3rd slide on my MW versus his 186. It is a kind of nestled in behind the first valve slide. It seems a handle would make a lot of sense but in my searches I didn't see anyone who added one.

Yes, some folks have done this, and you have my photos above to use as an idea of how to do it.
Best of luck!
