Where is this stained glass window with Jesus playing tuba?!

Post by Dave Detwiler »

Hi all - Jerry Young just shared this image with me, saying that it was forwarded from a friend of his who thought it was in a church somewhere in Pennsylvania.

Does anyone know where this is - and what the story behind it might be?! And yes, the artist either installed the window backwards, or didn't know how a front-action tuba is played!

Thanks for you help,
Dave

The window can't be left/right correct from both sides. I'd have chosen the inside, but don't know if there's any standard practice.

Now that I look more closely at the portrayal, I'm now realizing that the slogan which Christians shout out is not "Christ the King!", but rather, "Christ plays a King!"

bloke "Oh well...There's only one Elvis."

That Episcopal Church does not appear at least, as whacked out as the Episcopal Churches around here, so, maybe? :red:

According to the Organ Historical Society, that church has a Schlicker pipe organ. I wonder what their music department is like?

1976 Sonora (B&S 101) 4-rotor BBb
