I was kinda hoping someone had experience playing one of these HB-21 copy tubas. I'm not in the market anyway, just curious. But I have a feeling I'd really like it :care: I enjoy the old Hirsbrunners -- I've played the HB-2P, HB-21, and 3 different Yorkbrunners. I'd like to play some of the other models Hirsbrunner made back in the day.

Some of you go nuts over B&S F tubas. I've heard some really funky, inconsistent sounds and intonation from those models -- even the 'Symphonie' model. I tooted on a couple of those in the past. I don't get the appeal at all over those tubas, but some of you go absolutely nuts over them :eyes:

I like what I like, and others like what they like. You just have to deal with it -- that's the way the cookie crumbles :teeth: :tuba:

I don't believe the JP copy is proprietary.
It might well be the same instrument from the same factory.
If it is, you can probably trust my review.
If you like a 21, you'll probably like this.
If you don't, you won't.
