For sale is my Meinl Weston 45k F tuba. It is a very fine playing horn and would be a great fit for anyone looking for an older MW F. I've used it extensively for solo, chamber groups, and advanced in several graduate auditions and haven't had any issue making it sound great. It features a flat whole step dependent 5th valve. For a smaller F tuba, this horn has a great and clear playing low register as well as a very core heavy sound that is unique, also has the snappy Meinl Weston response to it.
This tuba doesn't have the original bell attached, instead, the bell has been replaced with a spare 45 series bell and the work was done by Joe Sellmansberger. I do have the original bell which has a crack in it. It also features a factory 2nd slide kicker which had its linkage and mounting upgraded which making it work very smoothly. Although it came with the kicker from the production line, it isn't a necessity to have good intonation while playing this tuba.
Tuba will come with an Altieri gig bag, the original wooden hard case, and the original MW stamped bell.
Price is $4500. I prefer cash. I'm willing to drive up to 2 and a half hours any direction to facilitate a sale!
Horn is located in Murfreesboro, TN. Please contact me via email at justin_averill@yahoo.com if you are interested. Thanks!

Re: Meinl Weston 45k F tuba for sale
Am I remembering correctly that the original bell engraving indicates that it's the Heiko Triebener configuration of that general model?
Just to clarify, the replacement bell is a genuine M-W 45 bell, and not just some bell that fit the bottom bow.
