Bohland and Fuchs F tuba

Post by Wilco »

Hi! I just found a very old B&F F tuba. I guess it is very rare because I have not seen another one on the net.

With a bit of tape and heavy oil the open notes sound fine (although quite flat, but the tuning slide cannot go further in).

I think it is very cool!

I think I found the same model in the Yorkmaster collection. What do you think? https://yorkmaster.org/yorkmaster/photo ... index.html

Based on the surface it looks nickel-plated. Silver oxidation tends to turn it black.
