I used an old 1995 Cerveny mouthpiece to straighten out a flat spot in the receiver of my Rudi Meinl. It worked really well. When I tried to make it "more perfect" I got it stuck like a moron. This morning I used this BBQ lighter (I used it for candles) and heated the receiver. That was enough to get the brass to expand so I could twist it free.

Re: Receiver out of round
Apparently it's still not quite perfect. I played a rehearsal with the horn and a few times the mouthpiece got loose from the vibration.
