FOUND! Need a medium shank euphonium mouthpiece

Post by LeMark »

Anyone have a medium shank Euph mouthpiece in the 5G / 51D range that they would consider selling for a good price? I want to loan my 3 valve besson to a friend, but my mouthpiece has gone missing. Very frustrating

I have a Denis Wick 4AM (gold plated) that I put away after brief testing. If that's close enough for your needs, PM me.

Have you checked the Denis Wick offerings? Mid-size euph mouthpieces are stock items. I have the SM6MU, which is comparable to a Bach 6 1/2 AL in cup inside diameter, but deeper, for my older B&H 3-valve comp that has the mid-size receiver. How about, say, an SM5MU (Steven Mead series, the second M is for "medium shank," the U is for the Ultra series)? The 5 is one size larger than the 6 as you may prefer. The 4 is even larger, with even larger sizes as well. Reference link from the Denis Wick website: https://www.deniswickapp.com/tell-me-mo ... outhpieces

Its not that I can't find one. It's that I don't want to spend thet kind of money just so can loan the horn to a friend, and I don't want to ask him to buy one so he can play it for 3 weeks

Plus I own one here. I just can't find it

Is it worth me following up this ubiquitous local craigslist post?

The 4AM, apparently the classic Euphonium mouthpiece.

It's 4am. Do you know where your mouthpiece is?

(with the added bonus, since i'm referring to the mouthpiece, i don't have to wait 13 hours and 6 minutes to ask this...)

Well, if she’s telling you to look for your mouthpiece at 4am, she’s not interested.
