I wish I could think of the other comedians (Morey Amsterdam was one, but there was another older one) who had comedy bits they did with a cello.
I believe the one that I can't think of ended up doing a black and white cracker Jack commercial employing the cello.

I think it was one of the many black and white Jack Guilford Cracker Jack commercials.
Supposedly he was a concert cellist getting ready to play a very serious recital piece, he sensed that something wasn't quite right with his instrument, started very subtly tapping around on it, discovered that the back was a little loose, pulled on it, and a cello full of Cracker Jack spilled out of it.
It was all black around him like it was dark with the stage only lit around him.
I can't find a video of that commercial anywhere.
