Instruments

Post by bloke »

I find that I'm playing less these days and sort of losing interest.

I'm willing to sell the instruments - for which I paid the least - for about 20 times as much as I paid for them.

For the ones that I paid the most, I might consider reducing those prices to 3 times as much as I paid.

Sounds like I shouldn't look to you for a used oboe.

Are used oboes a thing? Aren't they single use instruments? Or can you just replace the reeds when they stop working?

But I was going to point out that listings are supposed to have a location... I think i'd be willing to travel 20x as far for an instrument that's really close, but only three times as far if it were kinda far away (fortunately that still works out, as it is there and back, with plenty of slack for a detour.)

No need to worry; I don't play the oboe. 😁
Sort of off topic (the topic being chuckling at Facebook ads), but I think Mrs bloke is checking over an oboe that's entry level, regulating it, cleaning it, and prettying it up. I think the person who asked if she had an inexpensive oboe to sell them is going to pay just under $700.
