It's rattly as hell, and (pushed all the way in) plays a full quarter tone flat (when warmed up).

...so there are several inches of tubing to remove (from somewheres or t'other) as well as screwing around with the rotors and (such as it is) linkage.

I'll get it to workin'...

It seems to play in-tune "with itself" well enough...(??)

The receiver is undersized...I might recommend a Sellmansberger Imperial with a small shank or (more in line with the quality of the instrument, budget-wise) maybe they can find a used (any size) small shank Wick.

...and yeah, the thumb ring got yanked off its flange as well, but at least it's still floating around in the case.
