I've played it and it's really really good.Considering the price of a new one, this almost like new one is a good price. I would pick it over most of the modern B&S horns I've played aside from the 56AFT that Dillon had at the Army Conference last year.

I want it, but I can't justify that expensive of an F tuba right now.

But the Kurath would have to sell first, and I am not sure I want to do that right now.

How does it compare to a classic Symphonie?

I definitely don't have the cash anytime soon, but with aspiring children, I might have to let the Piglet go someday down the road and upgrade.

I think it's a little bigger. It's somewhere between a PT-10 and PT-15, but a darker sound. Still very F tuba, but a really nice, dense core. Top to bottom registers were all easy and clear. If I wasn't in the middle of some larger financial decisions, I would be finding a way to make it work.

Thanks for the update. I'll be surprised if it comes back to Balto. from Midwest.

What year is your 186CC?

It's a '71, and I bought it from @the elephant. It's the best one I've played in a long while and I am thankful that I was able to get it.
