No longer made with the VMI branding. It was made by B&S in Germany. Equivalent of B&S 103, same horn was made with several other stencils. Probably a really nice playing horn. Music Go Round does guarantee that any instrument they sell is playable, so probably shouldn’t be problems with slides ir valves. I would want to get those dings taken care of, especially the one in the lead pipe. FWIW, $200 to ship a tuba is a bargain.

My NStar buddy has one of these. I played it and found it to be a very nice tuba. He however is one of those people who is going to take all six of his tubas to the grave with him even though he has not played them for many years and won't be playing them before he dies. Some people just can't let go of things for some reason.
These are fine tubas. I owned one for several years before selling. Great intonation and sound production and projection as well. I much prefer piston horns and moved on to something else.
