Making slide move more quickly

Post by thedancingsousa »

What would be the easiest way to go about speeding up a clean slide? There's no gunk, the tolerance is just very tight. It's my first valve slide, and I'd like to move it more easily.

Take it to someone who won't (as first resorts) use an expander, sandpaper, and a buffing machine...

If they own calipers - and use them, that's probably a good sign.
