Bell: 11 3/4”, Bore Size .563, Height 28”.

“Lyon & Healy / Silver Piston / Chicago.” on bell. No serial number could be located on body of instrument.

I think that a nice looking and straight forward instrument, something I’d be happy to own.
There’s a chance that L&H didn’t actually make it themselves (just put their name on it) and that would go some way to explain the lack of serial number.

It could be entirely coincidental, and other Eastern European suppliers would also have been in business then, but I’m reminded of an Amati

The design looks much the same and although the bell is larger that’s been a small modernisation over decades.
