Oh, man. Look at that seller's feedback. I wouldn't buy anything from them even if I wanted it and the price was right.

That's a lot of cheddah to ask for a tuba with no brand listed, a single blurry pic, who-knows-what-condition valves and stuck slides.

What makes it a 1242?

(presuming folk here know more about king models than i do. I also assume the extra y was poetic spelling to indicate excess)

My brief king wisdom is 1240 has 3 valves 1241 has 4.

This has an odd style 3rd valve loop that i'd not seen before, and folk had recently (well, a year ago?! time flies!) told me that 3rd valve loop distinguished a 2341 from a 1241.

As a disclosure, i know the seller, and might even have seen this instrument last time i stopped by.

There was a 1242, but it was a top action horn.
