not counting anyone re-breaking stuff...

Post by bloke »

I just finished my (not really) "last" school's pile of instruments, this evening.

Mrs. bloke has three oboes to repair for a school (from which there were no brass instrument to repair), and she hasn't finished the woodwinds from the school that I just finished.

It's time to tear into a B-flat Miraphone 86 "twin-spin" (one to do a restoration-and-partial-relacquer for a customer, and another to do the same and offer for sale), as well as finishing up a Holton BB-345 restoration, and find out who might be interested in buying it (hopefully in raw brass).

' several other projects...for myself and to offer for sale.

Oh yeah, one of our biggest repair customers already has (text yesterday) three of four to re-repair (they are one of these that competes nationally - not just locally - in marching contests)...and there's a school (nearly in Kentucky...just as one of our Mississippi customers is nearly in Alabama) who needs us to pick up a few things...but - well - obladi oblada...

I'm trying to decide whether to spend a WEEK cleaning up and organizing my shop...Doing so would cost repair production, but might encourage me to FEEL a little bit better about going out there.
