Sellmansberger Symphony with the deeper rim option - this gives you a lot of options for rim style and diameter. Probably the most Medium Deep / more efficient (not crazy deep) option on my list. Also the more expensive option on my list.
RT-50 - very deep, sounds nice, but can be a little bit of work if you aren't in shape. I wonder if the 44 might be a choice to consider as well (haven't tried one).
Laskey 30B / 32B
Giddings Bayamo (the newer/lighter version as opposed to the OG heavy shell design).
I tend to avoid the more Laskey H / Schilke SHII cups on mine, as they run a little too sharp with this example for me.
I am running MAW valves on mine, FWIW
Is there something you are trying to "solve for" with a MP change? What are you using now and what don't you like about it.

Re: Meinl Weston 2155 Mouthpiece(s)
MW-2155 - if not already done - needs a smaller (small-end) MOUTH PIPE (in my very strong opinion) prior to going mouthPIECE shopping.

Re: Meinl Weston 2155 Mouthpiece(s)
I remember liking the Dillon Olka C3L or CB2 (American shank), the Tindall Wick AT3Y, and the Sellmansberger Symphony (American shank). My 2155 had the 45SLP leadpipe, so if yours has the original larger pipe, that could change what you look for in a mouthpiece. Either way, I'd start with these options, and I echo what Joe said about the smaller pipe.
Re: Meinl Weston 2155 Mouthpiece(s)
Thanks all! My horn is currently at Dillon Music with Matt getting the lead pipe switch. I’ve played on the OG lead pipe since I got the horn in 2011 so I’m excited to hear/feel how this changes it. I think I’m going to start experimenting with the DW Aaron Tindall mouthpieces first after I get my horn back. Thanks again!

Re: Meinl Weston 2155 Mouthpiece(s)
What are these Dillion mouthpieces? Are they copies of something, or are they different? I have a few here that I have to sell and have no idea what they are "like," if anything.
Re: Meinl Weston 2155 Mouthpiece(s)
I thought one of them, maybe the Roylance, but I don't remember, was kind of 30H-ish but maybe with a "comfortable new rim". I might be totally wrong. There were some posts out there when these all first came out (the main ones were Olka and Roylance mouthpieces), and their naming convention has changed a little since then too. Maybe email Matt Walters with the model numbers? I'm sure he could help.Mary Ann wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 3:51 pm What are these Dillion mouthpieces? Re: Meinl Weston 2155 Mouthpiece(s)
I found success with Geib/bowl shaped mouthpieces. Currently, I'm using the Dillon G5B. In the past, and still on occasion, I use the Stofer Air Corp.
What @bloke said about the smaller mouthpipe is 100% true. I had it installed a few months ago and am kicking myself for not doing it a decade ago. Find a Buffet Crampon dealer, order part number SP15130 directly through them (18 months ago it ran me $170 - came straight), and it cost another $200-250 for the install (it came with a chem clean too).
Before doing any serious mouthpiece shopping, think if you want this mod, if it's not already installed. Your preferred mouthpiece might change after.

Thanks, I wrote him -- just asking if there is a spec sheet. If people don't know what they are, unlikely to want them.
I have a Dillion PS 01, PS 02, and PS S5. All very standard looking. I'm hoping to get a sales post up today with all the cups I was given to move. I did the silver polish thing last night.

On the mouthpipe thing - I also ordered one for my 2165. If you don't want to wait so long for it, I think Martin Wilk makes 'em too. You could give him a shout and see what he says.

This! You will find that a mouthpipe with a stronger venturi on the front end of the will improve response and make your 2155 a more efficient instrument. A mouthpiece safari will not make much of the difference that you are searching for.bloke wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 9:11 am MW-2155 - if not already done - needs a smaller (small-end) MOUTH PIPE (in my very strong opinion) prior to going mouthPIECE shopping.

@tubacorbin why American shanks? My 2155 is currently off getting the leadpipe switch.tubacorbin wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 12:30 pm I remember liking the Dillon Olka C3L or CB2 (American shank), the Tindall Wick AT3Y, and the Sellmansberger Symphony (American shank).
