Happy Tuba Tuesday. Today, the Museum features a Couesnon, BB flat tuba, 3 pistons, c.1950.

Serial #: 17313

Bell Diameter 16 5/8″, Bore .750″, & Height 36.0″.

That actually is a really cool horn.

I like how you have the 2 slides to adjust the third valve loop, and that it runs back up towards the 2nd valve loop.

I almost wonder if they are long enough you can make them touch.

I mildly wish there were a photo of the engraving, but not enough to pester the Simonettis, as i believe they put the year in one of the emblems. And for those that don't know, Monopole are the professional line, so these tend to sound/play really well. They often have a special little axe bundle emblem too.

Also i wish there were pictures showing the first valve slide better on the back, as the MTS is wherethey normally are in the front.

The big spatula receiver brace is always fun and weird to see.
