I decided that I don't want to screw around with getting these re-plated to fit my Eb tuba, for those of you who follow that post. I purchased these for an older tuba with slightly out of round valve casings. They fit, but would stick. I'd rather not start another project right now, so I am listing them for sale.

They’ll fit any “big valve” Meinl Weston or B&S tuba.

They are (practically) brand new. They were NOT lapped into my tuba. Next to no mileage on these, as you can see. Pristine.

You will receive just the valves and their protective cases, with the stems attached.

I've read about MAW valves with interest, but there's clearly a lot I don't understand about them (and tubas in general). Don't different tuba makes/models have different entrance/exit angles, spacing, bore diameters, and casing diameters? I would expect MAW valves to need to exist in myriad variations, but your listing suggests they're pretty universal. What am I missing?

Might be helpful if OP mentions which Eb tuba these were made for. Also...pretty sure Martin's price is $1250. FYI.

Most German made tubas today from Meinl Weston, B&S, Nirschl(?) use the exact same 3/4” valve block.

The same valve block used on a 6450 CC is used on a 2250 F tuba. Kind of silly, but saves them a ton of cost and R&D when they can just paste the valve section on a new body and call it a new tuba.

Hence, MAW valves will fit pretty much any modern tuba made from 2004ish maybe? (whatever year this valve block came out) to present day.

Did I mention they’re new? Originally purchased for a 2141 Eb…

His price is about $100 more now. Tariffs. My cost was just under $1,400 when I purchased them a few weeks ago.
