The late, great Jim Self releasing recordings up until the year of his passing. This is a fun one -- it should have more views. He has a lot of other recordings up, also.
Gotta say I've never heard a country tuba tune. Great stuff. Gonna take a tube to my local bluegrass jam and see what happens... be right back...

^ Jim Self played all kinds of music. He was a major Los Angeles studio player who played on over 1,500 movie soundtracks, and was the tuba player for about 4 orchestras in SoCal
I thought this was a fun, and different recording to post here

Really???
All kinds of them - here’s two off the top of my head.
Dave Gannett - Tubas from Hell - great album. I think Dave was a member here. Yakkity Tuba
Stan Freese - on Hee Haw - Country Tuba
Stan had 2 talented rock star sons:
Josh Freese renowned drummer who has played for several rock bands, including:
The Vandals
Devo
A Perfect Circle
Guns N' Roses
Foo Fighters
Stan played on one of the albums - with Josh - I seem to think it was the Vandals and did a music video with them as well
His other son is Jason Freese part of Green Day. He plays various instruments, including keyboards and saxophone.
