Cerveny CC Tuba

Sold. The Cerveny "piggy" CC tuba is admired by many for its sound and its versatility. My horn has been well-maintained and is in good condition. It has a beautiful mellow tone, and it can be played loud with a punch when needed. The rotary valves and tuning slides operate well; first valve slide moves freely. It weighs 17.6 lbs. and has a 15.75” bell. The tuba comes with a Glenn Cronkhite black gig case. It is free of significant dents. There are three sites that I’m able to find a dent: one is in the bottom bow, the other on the second valve tuning slide, and a very small dent on the bell which I cannot take a photo of, but none have an impact on the sound. As seen in the photo, the tuba’s brass nickel lacquered surface shows wear (aka "patina,") but it adds to its personality! For many years, I used the horn in community bands, brass quintets, and traditional jazz ensembles. I am sad to part with it but I’m not playing it any longer. The tuba is located in the Baltimore area. applebd90@yahoo.com
