I have 3 or 4 King 1240 leadpipes (each ever so slightly different) that you are welcome to try and pick whichever works (but again, might be a bit long if you are trying to shorten things as you said it was flat originally). Also, PM me with what you need for King tubing and braces as I've got a decent amount.

Thanks, should have enough spare parts from the shortening process that I am probably all set. I’ll have to figure out the leadpipe situation when it comes down to it… I have a few options here that will probably fit. Also all that 183 tubing is a very close match (thanks again, 3 years later!).

This project is really cool. Keep going.
I wonder if the excellent intonation you mentioned originally had been a result of the .650 bore valve set. And what the result of the .687 bore valve set will be.....

Good question. I tested it with a mock-up of the .687” set and it seemed fine.

Hard to tell from that picture but with that location for the valve cluster, do the slides have enough room to be pulled out. It looks like at least the 1st will hit the bell. Or is that not really where your going to position things. And I do realize that it's a small bugle your working on.

The angle will eventually be parallel. Everything has room to be removed. The thing I’m running into trouble with is the main tuning slide… I’m trying a few different configurations.

It would be a little odd, but what about turning the main slide horizontal like some rotary horns....
