America needs OGU - blokepiece and blokepiece accessories...yup...yup..
yup...yup...
Every one of my mouthpieces has a little joke built in.
I'm guessing a few people figured out the joke with this one.

Serious comment:
I really do NOT like most mouthpieces. If I had come across some models that I really liked and that really worked for me personally, I would have never gotten into this mess with the mouthpieces and all this.

(The same goes for tubas, and - come to think of it - I've made myself several of those as well, haven't I? ... and so has Wade and so has York-boy, and so has york-aholic.)

We're just about sold out on the second generation (now offering euro shank as an option, as well as threaded for your personal rim) of the OG Ultimate silver plated brass mouthpieces.
These are superb contrabass or large E-flat tuba mouthpieces, ๐˜ผ๐™‘๐™Š๐™„๐˜ฟ๐™„๐™‰๐™‚ features such as oversized dimensions (such as oversized throats, rim widths, and cup depths - which often seem to cause more problems than they may seem to solve).
It's really the perfect balance for the 6/4 size tubas - whereby players are often seeking more definition while preserving the breadth of tone offered by such instruments.
The ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ-๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—บ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐˜€ $๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฑ plus postage and the ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—บ๐˜€ (fits all Sellmansberger stainless steel rims) version ๐—ถ๐˜€ $๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฌ plus postage.
Again, they've really sold quickly, and we are currently down to 2 standard shank, 3 euro shank, and one threaded-for-rims euro shank.
The next batch is in queue, but our machine shop (just as before) has quite a few jobs ahead of ours, and plating is yet another couple of weeks, so these few shown are available immediately for those who order now.
You are welcome to trial one of these for a few days without a restocking charge if you're particularly gentle with the shank (actually, Dollar General sells some really thin typing paper...๐Ÿคฃ but true), and are willing to cover the round trip postage if you return it. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

I love mine in my 6/4 York BBb. A perfect fit, for me. Highly recommended!

(Now if youโ€™d only do a one-off Kaiser shank so it would fit the receiver without having to use an adapterโ€ฆ :teeth: )

Does the taper of that really big receiver seem like it's about the same?

Bug me after I get past all these school instruments and maybe I'll try to make you a really thin adapter out of some tubing, rather than turned down on the lathe...

...the idea being that it would be thin enough that it would still insert at the depth that you would hope it would, rather than sticking out too far - as with a typical adapter.

I wonder if (I have any success with this) if I should let it extend a little bit past the mouthpiece to sort of halfway eliminate the typical adapter "speed bump" effect at the back of the mouthpiece?

All of the threaded versions (from this FIRST batch of threaded versions) are sold.

I'll round up more as soon as I can.

Thanks for the interest and the patronage !

- These are really good mouthpieces, and you just may end with with better results without having to work as hard.
- I you buy any of these (yet you and your circle of friends don't "like" me), I promise not to tell.
- Smear some epoxy glue over my name.
