I got a tuba from my uncle who has died. I want to sell it but I have no idea what it is worth?
It is a Schenkelaars Tuba (see photo's)
I hope to hear from somebody.

Re: Schenkelaars Tuba
Any luck?
Or update?
Oh yeah, and where are ya selling from (if you are considering selling)
(Sorry for such a late response, i'm not as thorough on this site as i could be.)
With the electrical tape and 3 valves it feels like a project and not necessarily a high end instrument. If i had to assign value, my kneejerk with 3 valve bbb tubas i know nothing about is $500 (and maybe $250 for an eb?) but a thought years old, and mainly just a starting point for a discussion.
If you are in Europe, you stand a better chance of an informed price based on make, as in the US i don't think these are known at all.
I only know the make due to having come across a Dayton Band Instrument Company tuba (DayBICo), and looking up that they imported Schenkelaars and marketed them as theirs. I liked the DayBiCo, so i'm at least interested, having heard the name.

Re: Schenkelaars Tuba
As the pictures are from "marktplaats" I recon that he is a Dutchman.
Schenkelaars orginates from Eindhoven in the Netherlands

They mostly sold stencils.
