This Tuba Tuesday the Museum features a BBb tuba with a Nickel silver garland with engraving: “ED. KRUSPE HOFLIEFERANT ERFURT.”on bell. Nickel Silver garland around identification marks. “MADE IN GERMANY / PETER EDWARDS CO. INC. / SOLE AGTS. / BOSTON, MASS” on bell. Edwards active as importer 1922-1940 hoflieferant = court supplier, must be pre-1918.

Not to upstage the coolness of Krüspe, each time the name Peter Edwards pops up, i am more curious...

If i remember correctly, the only info i have tracked down about him is on the brasshistory website.

But he was also the importer for the recording bell Hüttl of unusual size bore, if i recall?
