Re: Eastman 534 vs the 562

Dillon's here in the US lists a 825G for $7,922.40 (lacquer) although they have a demo horn for $4995.00. They list a 496 for $10635.00.

Re: How to raise a tuba

Lot of good solutions already, but a good playing stand, adjusted to the proper height, works well. An old Baltimore Brass Co. stand is what I use, but the K&M stands are also supposed to be good.

Re: Rare Tuba Mouthpieces

Any mouthpiece associated with a famous player, especially if the model is no longer made, could be considered valuable. That said, there's a mp that was supposedly owned by Howard Johnson that the current owner has been trying to sell at an inflated price for quite a while now.

Saw this ad over the weekend, not my horn. Over your asking price, but says you can make an offer.

The one I had played in tune with the tuning slide out 1 inch. No bit needed.

My Rudy is 40" tall and was a little tight. I would not recommend buying it for anything taller.
Understood, thank you very much.

is in the off topic classifieds, but refers to a tuba, not a mammoth, so i figured i'd point it out here.
It's a problem doing this from a phone.
