So just curious. I see crazy Tuba mouthpieces like Laskey, Shilke and Dennis Wick that are approaching $400!! Gold plated no less. Is there anything to this musically or are they just for show?

I was curious about the 1291 and 191. I would even consider the Hagen 497 (much more expensive) but it’s sold out everywhere.

Thank you PlayTheTuba!! I looked at that Lidl model you linked. It is a pretty horn. How does it compare to Miraphone? This is the first I’m hearing of the brand! It’s also surprisingly reasonably priced.
