Just inserted, I was going to use the tenon off of the recording bell.

King 1240 - $850 - Scottsdale, AZ

Been a while and have done zero playing, so it’s time to move on with some hobbies… I have a King 1240 that I bought from someone else on here last year or this year - I can’t remember. Anyway, picked it up and it’s sat around collecting dust. Thought I would get back into playing, but it just hasn’t ...

BBb was only in .750"

I owned this horn before selling it to Tyler. I have some of-questionable-quality videos of it somewhere.

https://www.descamusic.com/ Desca - had one after the percussionist told me to get one. Works great! How tall does it get? I didn't see that spec on their site. I looked to and don't see it listed but there are a couple of pictures with the owner standing in front of what looks to be a fully ...

https://www.descamusic.com/ Desca - had one after the percussionist told me to get one. Works great! How tall does it get? I didn't see that spec on their site. It's almost tall enough for me and I'm 6'4". The problem is at that height, it very wobbly. I get that they're trying to reduce weight ...

Auction only (I try not to post those, fwiw). Looks like it needs a valve job. Not sure who can do that now that Anderson has stopped offering that valve service. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/OJ4AAOSwNZFhXKOD/s-l1600.jpg Dan Oberloh, but I think he's three times the cost that ASP was. Yea, it was a pharmacy for a while, now it's back to normal. Maybe a hosting issue or some mix up on the server side.

Re: King 1135 for adults?

The Conn-Selmer web site lists the King 1135 as being “designed for young students” and having the leadpipe “appropriately placed”. Any thoughts on using this horn for a basically normal sized adult looking for a smaller, lighter horn? Would said adult find the proportions and leadpipe placement dif ...

Yea, these are fine for normal adults. Nothing real special about them, reminiscent of the Yamaha 103.

Re: York 91 Vs CSO york

The 730 looks a little more like the CSO York. The CSO York first bow looks a lot less "fat". Was this a custom mandrel then? Don't know, but I doubt it. The two CSO Yorks are not exactly alike. I believe I read that they are different in height. Somewhere , someone had both of them to compare and ...

WTB: .750" (or close to it) crook

I have a 3v King Giant valve section missing the bottom third valve slide. Anyone have a wide enough crook for a sousaphone valve block?

Also need the .750" tubing for the slides.
